Naging usap-usapan ang naging retweet ni Enchong Dee kaugnay ng kontrobersyal na kasal ng Drivers United for Mass Progress and Equal Rights (DUMPER) party-list representative, Congresswoman Claudine Diana “Dendee” Bautista.
Kinondena naman ng ilang netizens ang congresswoman dahil sa post ni Enchong kasama na sina Agot Isidro, Pokwang at Ogie Diaz.
A day after ng kanyang tweet, nag-isyu naman ng public apology si Enchong kaugnay ng kanyang naging post sa nasabing kinatawang ng Dumper Party list.
“I have been reckless in the tweet I posted and I take full responsibility for my lapse in judgment.
With deep regret, I would like to apologize to Congresswoman Claudine Bautista, her husband, their families and the Dumper Partylist. I acted based on my impulse without thinking the consequences nor the harm it may cause.
I learned that as dutiful citizens, we must always fact-check our statements to avoid sensationalism and the spread of fake news. I will take this opportunity to reflect on my wrong I have done and use this opportunity to better myself in being more discerning of my actions,” sey ni Enchong.
Reaksyon naman ng ilang netizens, natakot daw na ma-libel ang actor.
Pagtatanggol naman ng nabibilang daw sa nakaririwasang pamilya si Cong. Kahit noong wala pa ito sa politics kaya afford nitong gumastos para sa magarbong gown at wedding.
